Iberostar Heritage Grand Mencey offers a luxurious base from which to discover this part of the island

A choice of room types are available all benefiting from air-conditioning, satellite TV (limited English channels), radio, mini-bar, welcome basket of fruit and a daily newspaper. The minimalist bathrooms have a bath or shower and hairdryer. Most enjoy views of the hotel’s gardens or surrounding residential areas of the main boulevard into town. A small number face into the hotel’s attractive bright Canarian style courtyard. Some rooms have a balcony.

Built in 1950 and situated in a residential setting, this truly famous landmark hotel was totally renovated in 2011 and now offers 261 well-appointed rooms including 29 Junior Suites and 19 Executive Suites. Santa Cruz, quite undiscovered by tourists oozes Canarian charm and is a great place to shop. The Mencey offers a luxurious base from which to discover this part of the island and would also make an ideal base as part of a twin-centre holiday.

An impressive buffet breakfast is served in the hotel’s “Los Menceyes” restaurant, as is dinner for guests choosing half board, offering an à la carte menu or buffet (depending on the occupancy). Lunch can be taken at the “Los Laureles” pool bar/ restaurant by the pool (weather permitting) and in addition the hotel has a lobby bar, open all day, serving snacks from midday until late and an à la carte restaurant ‘Papa Negra’ offering dinner with a canarian gourmet choice.

When not shopping or sightseeing why not check out the hotel’s pool – a large outdoor freshwater pool around which sunbeds, parasols and pool towels are provided free. A beautiful extensive spa with an hydrotherapy pool and a well equipped fitness room are here too. There is free Wi-fi in all areas of the hotel and a business centre with PC’s for guests use.

We are delighted to include this wonderful hotel with its imposing façade and elegant features in our portfolio!
