Puerto de la Cruz Tenerife

Puerto de la Cruz is a city in the North of Tenerife in the Orotava valley.  In the valleys surrounding Puerto de la Cruz you will find an abundance of farmland and lush green landscapes, quite different from the more developed resorts down in the south on the Atlantic coast.

The resort has a mild climate so attracts visitors all year round, usually more mature couples as younger guests tend to visit the livelier resorts in the south. Prestige Holidays has two hotels in Puerto de la Cruz – the five star  “Leading Hotels of the World” Botanico or the family run four star Tigaiga Hotel, both in wonderful locations with beautiful views.

Old Town

The pretty old town has a distinct Canarian feel with narrow cobbled streets lined with traditional colonial-style cafés and bars. The quaint harbour is also a lovely place to visit. There is a selection of up market boutiques, charming plazas and a wealth of tourist attractions located all over the resort.

Loro Parque

Loro Paque is an animal adventure park with amazing dolphin, orca, sea lion and parrot shows, you definitely need a day to explore here with or without the kids!

Lago Martianez

Designed by Lanzarote born architect César Manrique, the swimming pool complex of Lago Martiánez has seven pools, including an artificial lake which has an island in its centre below which is housed the town’s Casino, are set around tropical gardens, cascading waterfalls, foot bridges and sun terraces.

Populated by sculptures by Manrique, the complex includes bars, restaurants and snack bars as well as ice-cream kiosks. By night, the pools are lit from below and lights sparkle in the pathways creating the stunning entrance to the Casino.
