What to see and do

Housed inside the 17th century Buca family summer house, there’s a modest museum of ethnography and fishing heritage and a couple of open air theatres, venues for the summer programme of plays and live concerts.

As with Porto Montenegro, the best beaches are just outside of the town at Belani and on the Lustica Bay. The beach by the Plavi Horizonti hotel is a favourite with locals and the sea is crystal clear

Dining and drinking

There are some nice restaurants and bars on the waterfront with seafood and fish a speciality. The flower –scented seafront promenade sees locals and visitors strolling and enjoying a drink in the outdoors most evenings

Our hotels

Are in Porto Montenegro, which although has become a town within a town is still really part of Tivat and further along the coast in Przno, Budva, Becici and in or near Kotor. From The Chedi, a luxurious new five star hotel (opened summer 2018) on the Lustica Bay, there is a summer speedboat service to Tivat (not hotel operated) and a taxi to both Tivat and Kotor takes around 20 minutes.
