Lovely surroundings

Petrovac park with Castello jpg

Situated further south on the Montenegrin coast yet still under 30 minutes from Budva and under an hour from Tivat. This is a pretty, small town which feels very much like a real Montenegrin town combined with a modern resort. Some of the best beaches on the coast are here, one of the reasons that the Romans built their villas here.
A really pretty spot fringed by palm trees and pines
In short

• A lovely boardwalk where there are old stone houses, restaurants and boutique shops

• Safe beaches for children
• Good water sports usually from mid June to mid September
• The main Petrovac beach has unusual pinkish pebbles and some good beach bars
• There is a seafront walk from Petrovac to the secluded sandy beach of Perazica Do – take a torch as there is a short, unlit tunnel (alternative is by car with steps down – and back up!)
• Good choice of casual nightlife with bars and a choice of  restaurants
