Lovely sandy beach

Becici Montenegro

Becici is the resort south of Budva and it merges into the neighbouring smaller resort of Rafailovici, once an old fishing village and the hotel Queen of Montenegro is situated on the Rafailovici side of Becici.

Modern Bečići, designed for tourism, is complemented by the charms of the old walled town of Budva, with its selection of cafes, restaurants and shops, which is just over a mile walk along the coastal promenade or by a small train

There is an excellent sandy beach here, which is a great hit with families and children. In parts the 2km beach is 100m wide and has many activities available. Becici’s historic claim to fame is that in 1936, it won the Grand Prix award in Paris for best beach in Europe.

What to see

On the other side of the Becici cove is the village of Rafailovici.  The village is split in two, the newest area of the town is uphill, while the oldest part of the village are by the sea. The old village is home to several interesting landmarks and also has excellent seafood restaurants.

Or visit Budva with its interesting range of shops, restaurants and nightlife.

Sveti Stefan, most picturesque part of Montenegrin coast and well worth a visit.
