Good area for exploring

Llucmajor Mallorca

Llucmajor offers the visitor an opportunity to explore both the town and the rural way of life in the surrounding areas.  With pretty Mallorcan villages and plenty of historical sites to visit this area will interest those looking for a relaxing holiday but who also like to explore.

Historical sites

History abounds with sites such as the oldest and probably most important site of Capocorb Vell which is a monument/settlement that acknowledges the Talayotic people who first settled here in the Bronze Age.  There is also the Lluc Monastery in Randa, a popular pilgrimage site with fabulous views, the 13th Century church of San Miguel and many other sites of historical interest. There are watch towers all over this area some worth mentioning are Torre de S'Estalella, the Torre del Cap Blanc, the Torre de Cap Enderrocat and the Torre de Cala Pi.

Things to do

The hotel we have here has many recreational activities on site but for those wishing to play golf there is Son Antem Golf Course which is only 5km south of LLucmajor.

Perhaps the beach is more to your taste, the coast in only 15km away and a day out at the beach is definitely one option available to you. Cala Pi, in particular,is a quiet and seclude beach location(photo).

Llucmajor holds regular and interesting markets and has a separate fish market, and the area is also known for local industry such as shoe making.

The town square is a great place to people watch whilst enjoying a coffee or lunch, this is where many of the restaurants and bars are located.
