Costa d'en Blanes is a mainly residential and sought after area nestled between the small resort of Son Caliu to the west and the fashionable Portals Nous to the east, which is where you would head in search of restaurants and bars. Puerto Portals particularly has some very trendy and upmarket eateries and bars overlooking the marina which its impressive yachts.


There are several golf courses in this area, the closest being The Royal Bendinat Golf Course, which is just a 10 minutes car journey away. If you prefer swimming the pretty beaches of Illetas, Puerto Portals and Old Bendinat are close-by too and Palma city with its history, shops and wonderful old town is only a short car or bus ride away. Families will love Marineland Mallorca in Costa D’en Blanes with its dolphin and sea lion show.

Out & About

If you are hiring a car, the main motorway, passes just behind the resort making Palma, the centre of the island and the beautiful north coast easily accessible.

The centre of Calvia is also within easy reach, the impressive Saint John the Baptist church, which was originally built in the 19th century on the site of the original 13th century church, stands in the town’s centre. Nearby is a ceramic mural which tells the story of Calvia’s history. There are a large number of archaeological sites in the Calvia area as well as large country manors, remains of Roman villas and much more to explore. There is a concentration of these historical sites heading down towards the coast at Santa Ponsa.
