Bay of Pollensa Mallorca

The Bay of Pollensa, is located 4kms from Puerto Pollensa and it seems to come alive in the summer with the arrival of many luxury yachts, as well as a mixture of colourful local fishing boats located in the bay.

There are a few small beaches in the area all offering good facilities and numerous watersports including windsufing, snorkelling and boat hire. The bay is very popular with families due to the warm shallow waters and the good selection of shops, bars and pavement cafés to choose from.

Located on the north east coast of the Island, this town is a popular tourist area and has lots to offer. The horseshoe shaped bay offers a large sandy beach which is sheltered due to its shape and the marina itself dominates the area offering many water based activities including boat trips to Formentor, scuba diving, sailing and more as well as a wide selection of restaurants which enjoy beautiful views across the water. Although a popular tourist area the immediate surrounding countryside offers quieter spots is popular for walking. The resort offers something for everyone and is set against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains.

Many water based excursions are available including boat charters, sailing and scuba diving. The area offers wonderful scenery and cycling and walking is popular here with gentle tracks as well as more adventurous areas in the mountains. The bay of Pollensa is an ideal place to practice all manner of watersports from sailing and windsurfing to snorkelling and scuba diving. Just wander down to the long sandy beach south of the marina and see what's on offer.

Beaches in the area

The wide sandy beach of the marina stretches for more than 3km and offers sheltered waters. Just a short drive away there are some beautiful small coves to be discovered, some of these coves are isolated and can only be accessed on foot. There are a number of trails including a beautiful walk from Puerto Pollensa through the Boquer valley to the small cove of Cala Boquer.
