Beautiful town in a great location

Riva Lake Garda Italy

Lake Garda surely one of the most beautiful areas of a very beautiful country.

Lake Garda is the largest of the Italian lakes, with lush farmland to the south and forested hills and mountains further north. There is so much to do and see.

Strategically located between Verona and the Italian Alps, Riva was once a major trading port and nowadays is a popular tourist destination with waterfront cafés, gardens, parks and pebble beaches. Water-sports are in abundance here – particularly sailing and windsurfing.

We have three lovely hotels: Grand Hotel Liberty, a lovely traditional hotel that was originally a Liberty style villa of the Belle Epoque; Du Lac et Du Parc in Riva Del Garda set in a lovely parkland on the edge of the lake, offering traditional or more modern accommodation; And 5 star luxe Lido Palace, a member of 'The Leading Hotels of the World'.

Getting about on the lake

Try an excursion on one of the catamarans or steamers that regularly travel up and down the lake – the views of the small towns, the snow capped mountains and the gorgeous villas are captivating. Its such a lovely way of exploring the area.

Day trips out

It is highly recommended to take a day trip to Venice or Verona to marvel at the beauty of both these cities. The Arena di Verona is the home of the annual opera festival which runs approx. Jun-Sep. Each of our hotels will gladly reserve your seats for an evening. Venice is so close, so makes a fantastic day out by train from Lake Garda. Fun for all the family can be had at the amusement park Gardaland, located just east of Peschiera.

Local Attractions

Apart from exploring on the lake you can also explore on foot or by bicycle from Riva del Garda.  There is a picturesque walk along the lake to neighbouring Torbole or why not rent a bike?

Riva del Garda is quite a large town and has plenty of restaurants, bars and cafés. There are also many historic villas to visit in the surrounding area, each different from the last.
