Los Cancajos has several small  black sand beaches, with some rocky coves and headlands, and a palm-tree lined promenade along the shore.  The resort offers a selection of traditional restaurants and bars to enjoy.  The Islands capital Santa Cruz is just down the road and well worth a visit.

Being a Canary Island, La Palma enjoys year round sunshine. Los Cancajos has a semi-arid climate with the hottest months being July to October. But the average temperature is still about 20°C year round.

Getting About

Having all the facilities on your doorstep in Los Cancajos means you don’t really need a car. But there is plenty to see on the island – so it might be worth hiring one for a day or two or take a local excursion. Santa Cruz is definitely worth a visit, with great architecture, museums and of course great shopping and restaurants. Tazacorte on the other side of the island is also a must – a picturesque fishing village, so plenty of fresh fish on the menu.
