QUIET VILLAGE LIFE

Great location to explore the island

Brena Baja La Palma

Brena Baja, situated on the east coast of La Palma, is a hillside village, on the outskirts of the bustling capital, Santa Cruz, and a short transfer from the airport. The village offers some stunning views along the coastline, and across to neighbouring Tenerife and La Gomera, with the sunrises in Brena Baja being particularly spectacular.

Near the village of Brena Baja is the traditional Parador de la Palma, a beautiful hotel in a quiet location set on a hillside with stunning views and lovely accommodation.

Traditional Canarian Village

Located on the south-eastern part of the island of La Palma, Brena Baja offers a true taste of La Palma life, with just a few local bars and a restaurant the village offers a quiet holiday setting. Set in the countryside on the east of La Palma it is surrounded by beautiful coloured houses.

Climate on La Palma

La Palma, being one of the greenest Canary islands, is obviously not the driest of the Canary Islands. The north east of the island is the wettest and Puerto Naos and Tazacorte, on the west coast, are the sunniest and warmest areas on the island. Of course Santa Cruz and Los Cancajos do receive a fair amount of sunshine too.

Exploring

It is worth hiring a car for a day or two to go out exploring on La Palma.  Everywhere is easily accessible from Brena Baja via the main road.  Visit Tazacorte – a picturesque fishing village on the other side of the island – or venture up into the hills to enjoy some lovely walks.

Nearby Santa Cruz

The capital of La Palma is just 3km’s from Brena Baja, so the busy centre of Santa Cruz, with its cosy tapas bars, lively port and charming streets lined with palm trees, is a five minute drive away. A trip to the capital is a must for culture lovers, as Santa Cruz has some lovely architecture, great art collections, beautiful churches and interesting museums.
