This month we’d like to showcase one of the best hotels in our portfolio – Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Mogan in Puerto de Mogan, Gran Canaria. When travelling with children, where you stay is especially important, and we think we’ve found the perfect accommodation choice for families on holiday in the Canaries. From activities to rooms to dining, this hotel is the ideal option for all ages.
Where You’ll Be Staying
A holiday with your loved ones is all about spending time together, and the Radisson makes that easy with the family rooms they offer. Choose from two-bedroom Suites (perfect for larger groups) and Superior pool-view accommodation, which features two interconnecting rooms.
The Radisson offers…
- A cot for the little ones.
- Children’s welcome packs.
- Age-appropriate television channels.
What You’ll Be Doing
There’s never a dull moment at the Radisson. Take a dip in the heated pool that’s specifically allocated to families, and let the children loose in their own designated pool. There’s a VIC (Very Important Child) Club where children can play with others their age, and a mini disco where they can dance the afternoon away. For the older children who are more adventurous, rock climbing is also available.
The Radisson is centrally located, meaning there’s no shortage of activities for days when you’re up for a family outing. Head to the nearby Angry Birds Activity Park, a fun park based on the famous Angry Birds app, for everything from ball pits to pedal cars. If you’re looking to get wet and wild, the Aqualand waterpark is also nearby, as is the Palmitos Park Zoo and botanical gardens.
How You’ll Be Eating
One of the Radisson’s biggest draws for families is its range of dining options. Those under the age of twelve get free breakfasts, and all restaurants offer highchairs and children’s menus. The Larder has show cooking and themed buffets, which are sure to delight the younger ones. Filini is the signature Italian restaurant and the perfect place to bring fussy eaters (even the pickiest children won’t say no to pizza or pasta). After a swim, have a snack from Il Taglio – the little ones are sure to get a kick out of eating poolside.
