Tenerife holidays offer plenty of opportunities for visitors to indulge in luxury dining, but The Bahia del Duque Resort is a particular favourite for food enthusiasts. Offering an extensive range of restaurants, the resort provides guests with a choice of several diverse, high-quality menus. Its popularity is no surprise…
A Selection of Restaurants
The array of dining options at the hotel is one of its main attractions. Food and wine lovers travel from far and wide to experience the variety of cuisine styles on offer at The Bahia del Duque. Each kitchen prides itself in preparing food to the highest of standards, motivating guests to return to this particular hotel in Tenerife time and time again.
Considered the hotel’s main restaurant, El Bernegal remains extremely popular throughout the day. I found their breakfasts were a wonderful way to start the morning as the open terrace provided lovely panoramic views of the Atlantic. This restaurant also serves themed buffets which are equally divine.
For a luxury dining experience, this is the place to be. Boasting two Michelin Stars, La Brasserie offers a contemporary French menu inspired and elaborated by several esteemed chefs, including Belgian chef Pierre Résimont and restaurant manager Yoseba Llarena. With delightful views of the pool and surrounding landscape from your table, a meal at La Brasserie is a feast for your senses.
The lively, homely atmosphere in La Trattoria will make you feel completely immersed in Italian culture. The traditional pizza and pasta dishes paired with delicious wines are homage to the restaurant’s authenticity. As an extra bonus, the nightly shows in the Central Plaza never fail to put smiles on the audience’s faces.
The menu here is inspired by Mexican cuisine, and was designed by renowned chef Armando Saldanha. Enjoy views over Playa del Duque as you sample the beautifully prepared dishes, bringing your evening to a close with a cocktail or glass of wine. The atmosphere is laid-back and informal, so you can fully relax and enjoy your meal. What better way to experience a taste of Mexico?
For something a little different, the Japanese cuisine served at Sensu is the ideal choice. Try the Sushi Bar and Robatayaki Grill or simply choose from the dishes on the main menu, each promising to surprise your taste buds with interesting flavours.
The Bahia del Duque has everything you could expect from a Tenerife resort, from impressive spa facilities to various entertainment options for sports enthusiasts. Work off those calories in the free fitness centre or tennis courts, or just continue with the relaxation at the beach or pool – Tenerife is your oyster!
With plenty of child-friendly facilities, a beautiful spa and nine unique restaurants, any holidaymaker is sure to fall in love with The Bahia del Duque – I certainly did.
