There’s nothing you won’t love about Siam Water Park. Its exciting attractions are suited to various ages: there are plenty of refreshments and beautiful accommodation options nearby; Tenerife really is the ideal family getaway.
This Thai-themed water haven has so much on offer that the kids won’t know where to begin. The enormous pools, thrilling rides and twisting slides are sure to entice any holidaymaker (even the adults). One of the most popular attractions in the park is the ‘Wave Palace’, as it boasts the biggest artificial waves in the world.
Impressive slides include ‘The Giant’ – a tunnel ride which evolves into a swirling slide, eventually taking riders down through its centre. ‘Jungle Snake’ is equally exciting – riders can travel in pairs, experiencing jungle scenery in the open chutes before being immersed into the darkness of the tunnels.
To add some light-hearted competitiveness to your day, why not try out the ‘Naga Racer’? Line up, race down the individual water slides and see who can splash into the pool first.
‘Sawasdee’ is an area of the park specifically designed for younger children as it has no height restrictions. There are plenty of rides to enjoy here, all just as thrilling as the larger attractions.
While enjoying your day at the park, it’s important to keep energy levels high. Thankfully there are a number of Thai-themed restaurants and snack bars, all serving a variety of dishes to ensure everyone is catered for.
This restaurant boasts traditional Thai architecture and is situated right on the beach; the unforgettable sea views make for a great dining experience for the family. Enjoy classic burgers, chicken dishes and fries before heading back to the pool.
The Tea House
If you’re after a little pick-me-up, this is the ideal place. Serving teas, coffees and crepes, parents will have no trouble staying refreshed as the little ones tire themselves out in the water.
At Prestige Holidays, we offer a range of properties in the Canary Islands that all have a unique style of their own. For this Tenerife holiday, I can personally recommend Bahia Del Duque Resort; guests can choose to stay in either the glamorous hotel rooms, the Canarian-style houses or the private villas, and are sure to feel perfectly at-home no matter which they prefer.
The hotel has plenty of children’s facilities, meaning parents can relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the resort. Watch the youngsters splash in the children’s pool, explore the play area or allow them to spend a few hours at the mini-club (there’s an extensive itinerary of activities organised for the children every day). For older children, the hotel provides a teen lounge – the perfect hideaway complete with a TV, board games and video games.
