With unbeatable views, the Princesa Yaiza in Lanzarote oozes charm and elegance. Suitable for families as well as adults travelling alone, the five-star Princesa Yaiza is one of my favourite places to stay on the island.
Settled on the south cost of Lanzarote in the popular resort of Playa Blanca, the Princesa Yaiza is a charming beachfront hotel with plenty to offer all holiday-makers.
As I explored this hotel I came across three buffets as well as four a la carte restaurants. I recommend sampling the sushi at the Japanese Kampai and sharing a convivial evening over a selection of delicious tapas at the Spanish eatery + Tapas. The hotel also has a generous number of chic bars and an ice cream parlour that is popular with children and adults alike.
Dining aside, I particularly appreciate the two large pools and the range of sports facilities here. As I travel often, keeping active whilst away is important, especially when there are so many delicious dining options.
Something for Everyone
Though I was travelling alone on my last visit, the hotel offers rooms and activities tailored to fit all guests, from single travellers to couples to guests with accessibility needs.
Travelling with children does not mean you have to compromise on luxury. At Prestige we pride ourselves on our knowledge of family-friendly five-star stays. The Princesa Yaiza has great Family Suites available with plenty of space for up to three children. For an indulgent family experience we recommend a Royal Kiko Family Suite. A little more spacious than standard family rooms, these suites come with a Playstation, DVD player and more. Parents seeking some alone time can book a spa treatment or candlelit dinner with complimentary baby-sitting provided. Now that is an attractive offer!
The hotel also runs Kikoland, a children’s entertainment centre which caters for children from four months to sixteen years of age with specially trained staff and a variety of fun activities.
At Prestige we want all our customers to have relaxing, luxurious holidays no matter what accessibility requirements they have. I was impressed with the hotel’s accessible suites where all facilities have been adapted, including bathrooms, door widths and the placement of light switches and phones. If you have accessibility needs simply mention your requirements to one of our knowledgeable advisors. Thanks to its range of adapted facilities – including a BluOne chair to help with ease of access into the water – I am happy to recommend the Princesa Yaiza.
The hotel’s Superior Relax rooms are strictly adult only and the ideal choice for a relaxing mini-break. These rooms come with daily access to the excellent Thalasso spa, as well as gourmet breakfasts. These extras really encourage you to make the most of your time, slow down and enjoy each moment.
