Highlights of the Tour
The wonderfully diverse itinerary comprises a remarkable eight-day journey that traverses the stunning route from Vancouver, through Kamloops into the heart of British Columbia and the mighty Rocky Mountains, to Jasper, Lake Louise and Banff. The itinerary is a long succession of highlights, but there are a few standouts.
All Aboard the Rocky Mountaineer
On day two you’ll board the legendary Rocky Mountaineer to take you on the truly memorable rail journey from Vancouver into the heart of British Columbia, Kamloops. As you travel through the valleys and mountains of British Columbia you’ll revel in the scenery of the famous rushing waters of Hell’s Gate and the picturesque shores of Kamloops Lake. The train then takes you through the mind-blowing landscape of the Canadian Rockies and into the mountain town of Jasper.
Jasper National Park
You’ll explore the UNESCO-listed Jasper National Park on a half-day tour, which takes you into some of the most magnificent wilderness scenery in Canada. This is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies and home to a wealth of wildlife that lives amongst the spectacular rugged landscape. After touring the park you’ll enjoy some free time to discover the mountain town of Jasper itself.
Head into the Glacier
On day five you’ll travel along the Icefields Parkway on the route from Jasper to Banff, on what’s considered one of the most scenic highways in the world. After viewing the beautiful Athabasca Falls you’ll head to the Columbia Icefields to board an Ice Explorer to take you right into the middle of the awesome Athabasca Glacier. As well as enjoying the incredible scenery from this spectacular vantage, you’ll learn about the glacier’s formation and fascinating geological features.
Soar High Over the Canadian Rockies
The fitting finale to this extraordinary tour sees you take to the skies in an unforgettable experience. You’ll board a Summit Helicopter tour for an exhilarating 12-minute ride over the Rockies, taking in the grandeur of the landscape from a jaw-dropping birds-eye
