For many, planning a holiday is like Christmas shopping: an essential prelude to a happy event, but all-too-often approached with an air of ‘Let’s get this over with as quickly as possible.’ Deciding where to go and for how long can be tricky enough. But it’s just as important to think about what kind of holiday you want to go on: taking some time to work out your options can really make the difference. In this post I’ll be exploring the all-inclusive holiday, and showing how it can be the perfect fit for families with young children or couples on the lookout for adults-only getaways.
Before I begin however, I’ll let you know our definition of an all-inclusive holiday. If you book with Prestige Holidays, you can expect to pay one lump sum for your accommodation, entertainment and food and drinks. No corners are cut – expect the luxury and quality of service that is the hallmark of all our holidays. If that isn’t enough food for thought, here are some more advantages of an all-inclusive holiday with us.
Cut Down on Logistics
With everything in one place, it’s all just that bit easier. Sometimes all you may want out of a holiday is the chance to relax and not feel compelled to do anything. In such circumstances, the all-inclusive holiday really comes into its own. With everything paid for already and your food and entertainment pre-arranged there’s no need to spend valuable time replenishing your wallet, looking for places to eat or working out an itinerary for the day. Sit back, take a deep breath and be in the moment…
We only include hotels in our all-inclusive collection for families that have an active and varied recreational programme that is enjoyable and accessible for all ages. Activity clubs that are specially designed for children are a regular feature and run throughout the week, giving parents the opportunity for some well-deserved time to themselves, perhaps to enjoy the luxury wellness facilities on offer.
Despite all-inclusive holidays being frequently seen as a family-only preserve, we recognise that many couples without children also relish the convenience that comes with an all-inclusive holiday. Consequently some of our accommodation choices are exclusively for adults, with leisure facilities and dining options specifically designed to meet your needs and a care-free, romantic ambience to match.
Meet New People
We’re not ashamed to say that our hotel portfolio attracts guests from around the world, many of whom are likely to have similar interests and looking to get the same thing as you out of their break: a good dose of R&R. If you enjoy light socialising in a relaxed environment then an all-inclusive break at an adults-only hotel will fit the bill nicely.
Adrian Hotel Roca Nivaria Gran – Tenerife
If you’re keen to see how this works in practice, let me give you an example of a family-friendly all-inclusive hotel from our portfolio. The Adrian Hotel Roca Nivaria Gran in Tenerife boasts a children’s swimming pool, private beach, spa, tennis court, archery range and two activity clubs for infants aged between ten months and four years, and children between the ages of four and twelve – they’re bound to love the submarine-themed games room! Drinks and snacks are available between main meals, which is great for kids who want some flexibility in meal times. What’s more the hotel is only 30 minutes away from the airport. I can guarantee this combination of ease of access and excellent recreational value will delight all families who aspire to a luxury all-inclusive getaway.
Top Tip: If you do fancy a little change in scene, the hotel puts on a shuttle bus several times a day which will take you its sister hotel, Adrian Hotel Jardines de Nivaria, in Fañabe.
Asimina Suites – Cyprus
If a friend of mine asks me to recommend a hotel for their adults-only holiday, I don’t hesitate to tell them about one of my favourites. Asimina Suites has dozens of private, lavish suites to choose from, each with their own terrace or balcony. The ambience is deliberately restrained, with peace and quiet the order of the day. And did I mention the glass of champagne and canapés on arrival? The onsite Elixir Spa pampers guests with its selection of massage treatments and water therapies, and further indulgence can be found at the two a la carte restaurants – after an aperitif at the bar of course!
Top Tip: The old harbour of Paphos and its waterfront bars are only a mile from the hotel – a shuttle bus is available for your convenience.
