Maspalomas Gran Canaria

Maspalomas is the largest town in Gran Canaria, located on the south coast and stretches from Meloneras in the west of Maspalomas to the more lively Playa del Ingles in the east.

For beach lovers the stunning beaches and sand dunes of Maspalomas are heaven, offering miles of golden sand which can be enjoyed year round. The dunes are now a national park and can only be crossed by foot or by camel. Do be aware there is a nudist area here too, so best to avoid it if you are squeamish!

Maspalomas offers a wealth of four and five star hotels, something to suit every taste. You will be spoilt for choice.

With so many locations offering  excellent conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-surfing Maspalomas is without doubt a perfect destination for the water-sports enthusiast. Scuba divers will be amazed by

the beauty of marine life; great ship wrecks; lots of sheltered shores; night dives; boat dives and snorkelling are all easily accessible.

If golf is your game you won’t be disappointed, with ten magnificent courses in Gran Canaria, all developed by top designers, the island is a golfer’s paradise, whether you are a beginner or a budding master. There are three great golf courses at Maspalomas. The long-established Campo de Golf de Maspalomas has hosted several international events and is surrounded by the famous Maspalomas sand dunes, which makes a round of golf here a really unique experience. Just outside Maspalomas, Salobre Golf is a newer course, also boasting a superb setting among ravines and volcanic landscapes. Similarly, Meloneras Golf is new to the Gran Canaria golf world but is fast gaining a reputation as a fantastic course

Maspalomas offers a great selection of entertainment for night owls, from chill out bars to karaoke bars or drag act shows.  For more lively entertainment into the small hours – head over to nearby Playa del Ingles, only a short taxi ride away, you will find a lot more choice here.
