Hotel Pinia

Wonderful views across Kvarner Bay to the other part of Krk Island.

45 air-conditioned, spacious rooms, all with balcony. Doubles or twins. Inland views are usually partial view of woods or olive grove and sometimes part of car park. Also partial seaside view and full seaview. Prices reflect accordingly. Room size is mostly generous across all room types. Some inter-connecting rooms.

All have satellite TV, safe, mini-bar, hairdryer, robes and slippers and towels for use in the Spa. Spacious bathrooms mostly with walk-in showers. Few with bath. Deluxe rooms are even more spacious with bigger balconies and great seaviews. Bathrooms here have both bath and walk-in shower. Some rooms have sofabed for either one or two people. Décor is light Mediterranean colours with rich mahogany wood features.

If you ever leave the lawn and the amazing view of the Kvarner Bay....there is one main restaurant with outstanding long outdoor terrace for breakfast and meals. Guests on half board can exchange lunch for dinner (just advise reception in advance). À la carte menu also here. Terrace tables have some of the best views in Croatia! Half board is usually a five course menu with salads and cold starters as buffet, the rest waiter served. Bar and sofa seating leads on to big open terrace. Wide choice of drinks. Small lobby lounge with mainly leather sofas.

Indoor pool with large glass doors that open into a sun terrace with sunbeds. Free sunbeds and parasols here and on the lawn-garden.

Stylish spa and surprisingly big for this size of hotel. Four saunas: Finnish, Turkish (steam), Bio and Lacronium (the gentle one with heated beds). Jacuzzi close to indoor pool with great views. Gym also has excellent views towards the sea. Lovely relaxation room with relaxation beds (glass surround) with doors that open to lawns. Free car park. Room service until 9 pm. Excellent walking and biking paths nearby. Bicycle hire available at reception. Excursions including Krk island tour bookable at reception.

Tourist “train” (road) from close to hotel to centre of Malinska, around £5 round trip (may change for 2017). Malinska has a little more “buzz” with bars, restaurants and shops and a lovely waterfront promenade. Last tourist “train” returns at 11.30pm (subject to confirmation for 2017). Taxis around £11 one way from hotel to Malinska.

Few bars and restaurants by the little Porat port about five – six minutes walk from hotel. Twice weekly, a privately operated taxi-boat from here to Malinska and (until now) it is free!

We will get you here from Rijeka airport in about 25 minutes, from Pula airport it takes about 1 hour 45 minutes and from Zagreb just over 2 hours.
