Hotel Kanajt

A stylish, family owned hotel opposte a marina.

22 air-conditioned rooms plus one junior suite. All rooms are spacious. Most rooms are doubles and can have an extra bed. Double beds can be made using separate mattresses and separate bed linen. Also one smaller single room. Seaside view rooms have well furnished balconies and inland facing rooms have small Juliet balconies. Inland views are partially across a wood and olive grove and may occasionally have a glimpse of a parked car or two. All have satellite TV, safe, mini-bar and hairdryer. Bathrooms vary and some have both bath and shower (note bath is smaller than average) or walk-in shower. Decoration is in light Mediterranean colours.

On the ground floor the Taverna has a nautical theme featuring wooden beams, brick, stone and wooden tables along with a lovely open terrace and views through gardens towards the marina and the sea. Drinks and buffet breakfast are served here. Half board guests choose from a special menu at Restaurant Marina (at the marina), five minutes walk away which is owned by the hotel and also has an outside terrace. There is a three course menu with waiter service and a full à la carte menu for guests on bed and breakfast basis requiring lunch or dinner additionally.

The new outdoor pool is heated as required and has a surrounding terrace and a pool bar. Sunbeds and towels here are free. The hotel has its own beach club called Medane and offers a free shuttle (approx. five minutes away) and the beach is a mix of sand and pebbles. Sunbeds, including larger cabanas and parasols are free, there is a wardrobe service, bar, shower and a couple of restaurants close by. Open from 08.00-20.00 from June until mid September and a great idea if you prefer the beach to the pool!

The historic island of Kosljun (an island within an island) is under a ten minute boat ride away from the centre of Punat. Just four monks remain in residence and it’s worth a visit to see the chapels, exhibitions, meditation paths and a different way of life.

Excellent independent reviews and we agree with them.

A perfect choice for adults looking for a quieter spot with a lovely promenade and a few bars and restaurants. Especially of interest to sailing enthusiasts due to the location of the marina.

Early booking is essential.
