WALLED CITY - CUTE NARROW STREETS

Croatia's longest pebble beaches

Krk Croatia

To the east of Cres, Krk is more developed yet also has some stunning spots, especially in the south of the island.

Krk town is a partly walled city with pretty narrow little streets, antique shops and a picturesque harbour. There’s a rather famous wine bar with original Roman ruins on the lower floor.

The culinary speciality of Krkisland is the surplice, home made long pasta tubes usually eaten with goulash or lamb stew.

The vineyards at Vrbnik produce the famous Zlahtina white wineand are worth visiting.  Baska is a buzzing resort in the south with a great beach and a lovely promenade.
