Rooms

45 very stylish, well-appointed rooms and suites and most are of different shapes and sizes due to the historic nature of the building (a former Palace which has a conservation heritage listing). Premium rooms are larger at 26 square metres and park rooms are approximately 20 square metres. Premium rooms have sea view and some also have balcony. Bathrooms in premium rooms have bath with shower or walk in shower.
 
Park rooms are without balcony and have inland view, a few have excellent views up to the castle. Bathrooms in park rooms have walk in shower.
 
There are various types of suites with differing views both with and without balcony.
 
All have satellite tv, free Wi-fi, mini bar (complimentary soft drinks), complimentary in-room alcohol and wine service on request (planned for 2020 season), safe, robes and slippers and signature toiletries in bathrooms. Sumptuous, luxurious fabrics including silk and velvet and beautiful lamps, mirrors and works of art – and touches of Empress Stephanie of Austria who was a regular visitor.

Living

The loggia of the hotel is a famous spot in Hvar town and has views across the main square. San Marco à la carte restaurant is located here. The menu features creative dalmatian and international cuisine.  A la carte is served in a beautiful marquee type restaurant which has beautiful chandeliers. Breakfast is possibly one of the best in Croatia including a choice of five egg dishes (including eggs benedict), cheese and fresh fruit plate as well as real infusion teas and high quality produce.
 
There are some steps up to the San Marco restaurant if accessing from the pool area.
 
Stylish outside terraces with beautiful wall features and plants – perfect for reading, relaxing and a drink. Free Wi-fi throughout the hotel.
 
The spa and pool area are exquisite. The spa decoration features gold silk and wooden fish design with VIP massage rooms. A wide range of treatments and beauty options featuring Codage and Kos products (Paris).
Turkish steam, Finnish sauna and small relaxation studio. Gym has an original wall inside.
 
The huge, freshwater indoor pool is light and has big door-windows that are usually open giving an outdoor feel and which lead out to a spacious terrace with quality sunbeds. The lounge terrace here has a beautiful original stone wall feature.
 
This is an outstanding hotel with a fascinating design in reception featuring Empress Stephanie faux memorabilia and theatrical belle epoque items. Welcome prosecco on arrival.
 
Due to the pedestrianised nature of Hvar town, you will be required to walk a short distance to the hotel after disembarking the catamaran/ferry in Hvar town. Your luggage will be transported.
