Horseshoe Bay with its pink sand is one of the best

Gibbs Hill lighthouse Bermuda

Golfing holidays in Bermuda at the Port Royal course are a real pleasure.  A Robert Trent Jones designed course (Par 71) it is less expensive than some others and it is often easier to get a tee-off time here.  The Fairmont Southampton golf course has 18 holes and is a par 54, not that challenging but fun to play.  If you want to practice your skills head for the Bermuda Golf Academy.

Want to crash out in the sun on the beach?  Horseshoe Bay is simply gorgeous – very spacious with fast food, showers and changing rooms.  You can also rent umbrellas and snorkel equipment here.  Walking east on this beach brings you to South Shore Park.

Swimming with brightly coloured fish off Church Bay or for a change of scene head to Whale Bay Park which also has some history in the form of the Whale Bay Battery.

Gibbs Hill lighthouse

The Gibb’s Hill lighthouse is a major landmark.  If you have a head for heights the view from the top is stunning.  Easily found from the Railway Trail up Tribe Road No 2, the lighthouse is also very close to one of Bermuda’s best known restaurants, Henry VIII.

We recommend a stay at the large well equipped Fairmont Southampton ideal for a family holiday in Bermuda or for a Spa holiday in Bermuda.  The luxury Reefs hotel and their fabulous Club Suites offer a very high level of personal service, whilst the family run Pompano Beach Club has a beautiful location and a very warm welcoming ambience.
