For many years Forte Village has been known as one of the prime holiday addresses in Italy.
On the southern coast of Sardinia, the city of Cagliari is some 30 minutes drive away to the east.
Forte Village actually consists of no less than 7 hotels within one 25 hectare garden paradise, on a superb pale sand beach. The second hotel we offer is the 4 star Le Palme.
Families will find this low rise hotel ideal. It is set in the resort’s mature pine trees,close to the shops, pools, beach and restaurants.
ACCOMMODATION
Family Bungalows have a bedroom, bathroom and a living room with a double sofa bed, very suitable for children under 12. The Family Bungalow Plus have 2 bedrooms that connect, each with its own bathroom. The second bedroom is a little smaller. For larger families or groups of friends, 2 Superior Bungalows on the ground floor can be combined with a first floor Palme Roof room, with 3 bathrooms in total.
The Bellavista is exclusive to Le Palme guests and offers breakfast and dinner – delicious Italian flavours close to the beach.
We really feel this is excellent family accommodation with space for children to let off steam.
DINING
Forte Village actually consists of no less than 8 hotels within one 25 hectare garden paradise, on a superb pale sand beach. The key to this superb holiday venue is choices. There are no less than 21 different restaurants to tempt, from the Pasta House to the Torre Grill a traditional steak house, Japanese, Sardinian, seafood, up to the Forte Gourmet for a superb à la carte Mediterranean menu. Reservations are required. Even a Gordon Ramsay restaurant - gourmet corner! Some restaurants charge a supplement to half board guests.
LEISURE FACILITIES
Sporting activities abound! Of course there are swimming pools, more than 10 of them. Floodlit tennis courts? Yes, 10 altogether, with professional instructors on hand and a Tennis Academy. Golf at the Is Molas Club is about 10 minutes away by car. Water sports include boat rental of catamarans to kayaks, also windsurfing boards and pedaloes. Y ou can water ski, sail and dive with qualified instructors.
FAMILIES
Leisure Land offers even more exciting activities such as a half kilometre go-kart track with electronic timing, an 8 lane bowling alley, trampolines and no less than 3 practice football pitches. The “Children’s City” club for children 2 - 12 years is free, where children can enjoy Italian cooking lessons, ceramics and much more.
From mid May to the end of August the Chelsea Football Club Soccer school will open to boys and girls aged 4 - 13 yrs, where some of Chelsea’s world class coaches will train the children. Alternatively for little rugby enthusiasts Forte Village has opened a Rugby Academy for 6 - 15 year olds. Soccer school and Academy places can be pre-booked but are payable locally.
If relaxation is your goal, the beach, the gardens and the Sardinian countryside are there to ensure you can do nothing and do it well.
SPA
The Thermae Spa has a very extensive range of treatments including Thalassotherapy, with 6 pools of different salinity, Ayurvedic massages and so much more. There are also saunas, Turkish bath and a very large gymnasium for which guests pay a daily entrance charge.
Shopping for designer labels, crafts, jewellery, books and perfumes is easy in the Piazza Maria Luigia.
