A delightful small Riad in Marrakech
The British owned Dar Anika is a delightful small Riad, close to the Badi Palace, the Saadian tombs and the truly exciting Djemaa El Fna Square. The style here is calm, relaxed and informal. Obliging staff show a real interest in guests comfort and holiday enjoyment. Why not enjoy a cookery lesson in the Riad?
Dar Anika was newly built between 2003 and 2005 to include all the traditional features and charms of an old Riad. The courtyard at the heart of the building has a super pool (heatable) on one side and a cosy lounge on the other side for relaxing with your book or chatting with friends over a drink or coffee. Guests will find peace and tranquillity inside, with all the hustle and bustle of the souk outside the door.
ACCOMMODATION
Each of the ten guest rooms and the suite are different in size and décor. Superior rooms are larger with a sofa whilst the suite is larger still with a double bed, a sitting area and a fireplace. They all have air-conditioning, Wi-fi and safe. To preserve the peace of the Riad there is no TV! Every room has a shower and five also have a bath.
DINING
The roof terrace is a perfect spot for breakfast, (served until midday) lunch or dinner, with superb views over the city and on a clear day, the Atlas Mountains in the distance. Here you will find sunloungers for relaxing moments. The colourfully furnished tent on the roof offers shade on hot days and provides a delightful ambience for evening drinks and dining.
There is a lounge with satellite TV offering international channels.
We know that Dar Anika does appeal to many of our visitors to Morocco, but we do not recommend it for families with young children under 12 years of age.
We include a private taxi transfer – approx. 15 minutes.
