A gracious and comfortable haven in Valletta

Sitting below the 16th century city walls, the Hotel Phoenicia is a grand five star hotel set in 7 acres of secluded mature gardens. Much of the original architecture remains and guests will notice a unique colonial atmosphere and hospitality.

Some of the 136 elegantly appointed bedrooms and suites (half of which have been renovated to a more modern style), have harbour view and a very limited number have a balcony. Room comforts include safe, air-conditioning, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, cable TV, hairdryer, internet access, bathrobes, mini-bar and 24 hour room service.

All Prestige guests will have a bottle of wine in their room on arrival, whilst Honeymooners have sparkling wine, petit fours and flowers on arrival.

The large lounge is gorgeous, very bright and cheery, and the main focal point of the hotel. I would definitely recommend Phoenicia for couples and mature clients because of the location, only a few minutes walk into the centre of Valletta which has lots of great shopping, many restaurants and places of interest to visit.

Traditional afternoon tea, lovely gardens and fascinating Valletta 

Afternoon tea is served daily in the beautiful completely renovated Art Deco style Palm Court lounge with all day coffee and light snack service. Half board dining is offered in the Phoenix restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served on the terrace. The informal Pegasus restaurant serves Mediterranean specialities while the Club Bar is the spot to enjoy an aperitif or a speciality cocktail. Festive Meals on 24, 25 and 31 Dec are included in our prices.

The gardens are a delight and include the heated outdoor pool (subject to weather conditions), Jacuzzi and superb views of the harbour from the terrace.

For guests comfort and pleasure the Hotel Phoenicia offers a hairdressing salon, souvenir shop, fitness room and mini-golf.

Valletta, a World Heritage site, with its wealth of culture and history is a pleasant 5 minute stroll away. On Sunday mornings there is a market nearby with local crafts. Hotel Phoenicia offers a shuttle to a sandy beach once a day in the summer.
