An elegant and grand building 

This elegant grand hotel built in 1884 is in a wonderful location directly on the lake, ideal for those looking for tradition and old fashioned good service.

ACCOMMODATION

Rooms are either double rooms or larger junior suites, all with a bath, hairdryer, bathrobes, safe, air-conditioning, mini-bar, satellite TV, balcony and a lake view. Junior suites have the added benefit of a sitting area and some have a separate shower in the bathroom.

DINING

The main restaurant serves buffet breakfast and a daily three course table d’hôte dinner menu and has a beautiful terrace for alfresco dining with fabulous views of the lake, why not enjoy your breakfast here. À la carte dining is served at the ‘Giordino Dei Limoni’ terrace restaurant by the pool overlooking the lake, available at a supplement.

The pool bar serves snacks at lunch in a glorious setting on a shaded tree covered terrace.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Within the hotel gardens you will find the heated outdoor pool, whirlpool and sunbathing terraces. Here you will also find direct access to the lake from the gardens for an alternative spot to swim.

Other facilities in the hotel include a sauna, Turkish bath and a treatment room offering a variety of massages. Winnie’s Bar is a perfect location for an after dinner drink with older style live music most nights.

We found this hotel quite delightful and in a convenient location close to Vittoriale Theatre and the Botanical Gardens. Lake Garda ferries call at the Piazza Wimmer next to the hotel, so convenient for enjoying the beauty of the area from the water.
