This very elegant hotel enjoys an elevated position on the banks of Lake Como with breathtaking views in every direction.

There is so much to do in the area, enjoy a lake cruise, visit the town of Como 30 minutes away – perhaps the silk capital of Europe, go shopping in Menaggio or Bellagio, visit several fine historic villas and fabulous gardens, golf courses, hill walking, casinos, watersports, seaplane excursions – the possibilities seem endless!

The Liberty style architecture and design provide a tasteful backdrop to a wide range of accommodation, dining and leisure facilities. All 32 Classic rooms and slightly larger Classic Plus rooms overlook the enormous, steeply sloping gardens behind the hotel. The 48 Superior rooms, 8 Deluxe rooms and 2 Suites have beautiful views over the lake, all have balconies. Every room is air-conditioned with a mini-bar, safe, hairdryer, satellite TV, bathrobes and slippers and marble bathrooms. The Deluxe rooms and Suites also have a DVD player and a whirlpool bath.

Meal time options include the à la carte La Terrazza restaurant for outdoor dining and the Escale Grill and Wine Bar specialising in local dishes and regional wines, open in the evenings. Casual lunches and cool drinks are served at the Candel Bar or Beach Club, or at the Pizza Bar in the gardens.

For pampering and relaxing the TSpa is superb! Facilities here include an indoor heated whirlpool with water massage options, an aqua-fitness trail with bubble beds, jets, waterfall and a relaxation area. Treatment rooms offer massages and facials using Ligne St Barth products and a range of Ayurveda massages.

The Grand Hotel Tremezzo has 2 large pools, one which actually floats on the lake and a second in the beautiful gardens surrounded by nature. For more exercise the hotel has a gym and a sauna, a tennis court and a hilly jogging/walking path in the grounds.
