This hideaway Resort and Spa stands in a lovely valley just outside the small village of San Lawrenz, and reflects the calm, unhurried style of Gozo very well.

Traditional in style but plenty of modern comforts

The hotel offers guests every modern comfort in its attractive rustic style rooms. Each bedroom has iron and board, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, safety deposit boxes, satellite TV, mini-bar, hairdryer, coffee and tea facilities, internet access and 24-hour room service. There are several very comfortable room types to choose from: Superior rooms have a country view and Deluxe have a pool view. The Premium pool view rooms have a walk-in shower and Jacuzzi bath. Junior Suites have a sitting area and a balcony and the Deluxe Junior Suites are larger. Prestige guests will receive a complimentary fruit basket in rooms on arrival.

Activities for adults and children

For those with energy to burn, the Kempinski San Lawrenz has 2 tennis courts, 2 squash courts and a gym. There are 2 large outdoor pools (one for adults only), plus another one specifically for families. The hotel also has a changing free weekly activities programme.

To recharge the batteries after so much exercise, buffet breakfast and dinner in the L’Ortalan Restaurant serving light Mediterranean food will be welcome. There is also a Trattoria serving Italian food as well as the Gazebo restaurant offering alfresco lunches and BBQ dinner during the summer.

An excellent Spa with Ayurveda a speciality

For adults looking to revive mind and body, the hotel’s Marine Care and Beauty Centre reflects a holistic approach. The spa offers a range of services including beauty treatments, authentic Ayurveda experiences as well as manicure and pedicure, do please ask us for more details on the treatments available here. There is an indoor pool in the Spa, children 3-13 years may only use it until 3pm and must be accompanied by their parents, all other spa facilities are only for adults.

The views from the hotel are of the lovely Gozitan countryside and the hotel’s gardens and pool area. There is a free shuttle bus to Victoria, the capital, and to the beaches twice daily during the summer.

We have just been informed (Nov 09) that the hotel plan to close from 5 January 2010 - 11 February 2010 to update and re-new it's Spa facilities.
