During our “surprise” visits last year, guests told us that this was their best ever family holiday. Located on the Lanterna peninsula, this is a big resort with gardens, terraces, palm trees, bordered by pine woods, direct access to the beach and around ten minutes to downtown Porec. 319 brightly decorated air-conditioned rooms, many inter-connect. All have bath or shower, safe, satellite TV, hairdryer and fridge (stocked with drinks on request), balcony and sea or park views. 71 suites have two bedrooms and a living room. Free internet access.

LIVING

Where to start? All-Inclusive Light means breakfast, lunch and dinner and drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks) taken with meals. Children also have all day snacks and drinks when joining in the daily activities including swimming and diving lessons. Various watersports with sailing and surf school. Tennis courts and school, animation programmes, free use of fitness centre, aerobic classes, bicycles and bike tours. A spa and beauty centre with saunas, Jacuzzi and hairdresser. Children’s clubs operate from 8 - 12 and from 2 - 6pm and baby-sitting (first two hours free, thereafter approx £6.50 per hour) plus free evening kids disco. Two large outdoor pools, including a small children’s pool. Sunbeds and four bars.

Main restaurant with buffet meals and an area where kids can eat with the animation team. A rustic Istrian taverna set on a beautiful terrace with straw huts and sofas, or the Valeta à la carte fish restaurant near the pebble beach (make reservations for dinner for both). Live music every evening and BBQ on the beach weekly from June to September. Free Wi-fi in the lobby. Regular bus and boat services into Porec.
