Located in the north west corner of Croatia close to the border with Slovenia

The hotel opened in late 2009 and is the first Croatian luxury seaside golf and spa resort. It’s 4 kms from the small fishing village of Savudrija, a tranquil spot, and with just a few bars and restaurants. The larger resort of Umag, 8 kms away, has more of a buzz. The hotel stands on a slight incline with the sea on one side and fields and vineyards on the other- about 20 minutes walk from the centre of the village. Hiring a car for a few days enables you to visit the pretty inland villages of Istria. The hotel’s contemporary design is peppered with splashes of gold and marble with glittering chandeliers and mirrors.

ROOMS

186 air-conditioned spacious rooms and suites all with balcony or terrace. There are various types of rooms, some inter-connecting with the main difference being the views. All deluxe rooms have seaviews, premium rooms have partial seaviews and superior rooms have park views. All are stylish and well appointed with some hi-tech gadgetry to access the satellite TV. The decor is mostly cool beige and cream with ribbons of Mediterranean colour, all have a bath and a walk-in shower plus robes, slippers, hairdryer, mini-bar, free Wi-fi and safe. There are 21 suites and junior suites.

LIVING

There are two outdoor freshwater pools and a children’s pool, two outdoor Jacuzzis, three bars, plus a lounge and library. Indoor pool with relaxation beds and gym. Two restaurants, Dijana in the hotel and the Istrian Kanova beach restaurant. The secluded pebble beach is a five minute walk or take the hotel transfer. The Kempi Kids club operates from mid June to early September and is supervised from 10 - 6 daily for children aged three to twelve years. In our opinion this hotel is also suited to couples or friends who want to enjoy golf, spa treatments, relaxation, swimming and some interesting days out. Car and bicycle hire are available and the hotel can arrange truffle hunting, wine and olive oil tasting tours. Yoga classes, salsa lessons and a beach BBQ take place once a week in summer. Tennis courts are close by. The Greco-Roman Spa deserves a whole page to itself. Covering an entire floor, it is exquisitely designed, with a huge selection of treatments, sauna and steam zones, waterbed relaxation rooms, Roman pools with extensive use of local products including wine and olive oil.

GOLF CLUB ADRIATIC

This championship 18 hole course is located adjacent to the hotel. The 6360 metre, par 72 course offers challenging golf to players at all levels. The natural environment includes water, olive groves and vineyards. Driving range, putting greens, clubhouse bar and terrace, buggy and club hire, pro shop and lessons with resident head pro.
