Don’t let the name put you off!

This is a very popular 4 star hotel with great family appeal. Don’t let the name put you off: the hotel is managed by the Austrian Falkensteiner company, a family run business that started off with one small hotel in the Tyrol region.

‘Funimation’ isn’t a word that comes easily to the English but don’t worry. Located in the Borik area, this a high quality holiday resort set in well kept gardens and with a pretty, long pebble beach. Extensive refurbishment in 2004. The All-Inclusive arrangements are great for families on a budget yet who seek stylish surroundings and there are many repeat guests.

ROOMS

258 rooms, air-conditioned, decorated in light wood and sunny colours, with shower and balcony, some with seaside views, satellite, flat screen TV, mini-bar, safe and Wi-fi internet. Family rooms have children’s fold-up beds in a little cabin area.

LIVING

All-inclusive here means meals and drinks from a generous buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner together with drinks served at the All-inclusive bar. There’s tennis, football, beach volleyball, a watersports centre with diving, sailing and surfing. Falky Land is a children’s world covering 180 square metres offering a play and crafts area, children’s cinema, disco, playground with childcare and entertainment. An outdoor pool is connected with the indoor pool and there is a smaller adventure pool with waterslide and a wave pool.

The Acquapura Thalasso and Spa is a class affair, with stone and cream decor, a wide range of treatments, saunas and baths with an airy relaxation room and spa lounge. Aqua aerobics, Pilates and yoga classes are included for guests and are available the whole season.

The centre of Zadar is a 25 minute walk away and there’s a small tourist train from June to September, one way costs around £4.50.

Transfer time from Zadar airport – approx. 25 minutes. Flights also to Split.
