Rooms, apartments and suites set in mature, peaceful gardens in Caniço

Quinta Splendida has undergone a complete transformation in recent years with many new facilities, including the largest Spa in Madeira and some fabulous Spa Suites. Set in mature and peaceful gardens there are over 1000 tropical plants – many labelled to provide enormous interest to enthusiasts.

The Manor House with the gourmet à la carte restaurant La Perla overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and here guests can enjoy the hotel’s own organically grown produce. The table d’hote restaurant, Galeria, serves a generous buffet breakfast, Mediterranean, Italian and Asian fusion cuisine in the new Thai Lounge. The half board menu offers buffet service for starters and desserts with a meat or fish main course and a themed dinner once a week. Gala meals on 24 and 31 Dec and 23 Mar are included in our prices.

Accommodation, some of which has been refurbished, is available in low rise buildings around the gardens: comfortable twin bedded rooms (no balcony): studios with balcony or terrace and kitchenette: the more traditionally furnished apartments with a separate bedroom, balcony or terrace and kitchenette. Ground floor studios and apartments have a delightful little garden of their own. Each room type has satellite TV, hairdryer and safe (small charge). 

A new addition - are the contemporary Spa Suites

The open plan Spa Suites are generous in size and have a king size bed and have a fantastic location with direct seaviews from the terrace.  All have Plasma TV, DVD, a PC with free internet and full access to the Spa facilities.

At the heart of the four star Quinta Splendida is the heated fresh water swimming pool with sun terraces, the snack bar, the new Siddhartha bar and the new contemporary Globe bar open in the evenings, all with fantastic views. The fitness centre is close by with a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, as well as a games room.

Also new is the fabulous Spa

Quinta Splendida has added a fabulous new Spa with an indoor treatment pool, 10 treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room, ice igloo and an extensive menu of facial and body treatments including Thai and Balinese massage. We have full details, please do ask.

Complimentary wine tasting, guided garden tour or golf – something for everyone

The village of Caniço is some 100 metres away with a full range of shops and restaurants.  A courtesy bus operates several times daily, except Sunday, to Funchal. The complimentary weekly Madeira wine tasting and guided botanical garden tour and 30% discount on green fees or the special golf packages available mean there is something for everyone.

The helpful staff, the calm peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful gardens do provide an excellent ambience for very relaxing holidays.
