Perched on the cliff top facing south, the hotel is some 20 minutes’ stroll to the city centre, with complimentary shuttle service six times daily. ACCOMMODATION

The 188 renovated guest rooms and 12 suites are spacious and beautifully furnished and have a marble bathroom with a separate shower and a hairdryer. Each room offers free Wi-fi, LCD cable TV, DVD/CD player, air-conditioning, tea/coffee making, mini-bar, safe and balcony. Inland rooms overlook the guest car park and local houses. Side seaviews have a wall that can be seen over when standing. Seaviews have railings and the best view of the gardens towards the sea. Superior seaview rooms are on the higher floors with upgraded services including complimentary soft drinks, à la carte breakfast and pillow menu.

LEISURE FACILITIES & SPA

For a more relaxed holiday visit the spa which offers sauna, steam rooms, whirlpool, a range of beauty and well being treatments and a hairdresser.

Sporting facilities are superb including golf at the Palheiro course, private PADI qualified diving centre “Golfinho’s”, big game fishing, tennis, billiards, table tennis and walking tours are amongst other energetic pursuits on offer.

Of course there are two pools (one partially inside and heated, the other with sea water) and direct sea access. A classical CD library and free Internet access is available in reception.

FAMILIES

Youngsters have an unsupervised playroom and special children’s meals are available. Baby-sitting service is pre-bookable and payable locally.

DINING

The “inner guest” is well catered for with a choice of four bars and three restaurants including Il Gallo D’Oro with it’s Michelin star for excellent à la carte dining (can be reserved at a supplement. Jacket or tie required) or the room service menu. The Cliff Bay is a Porto Bay Hotels and Resorts Member.
