Five star Gran Luxe hotel in Costa Teguise

The comfortable compact standard guest roomsand 18 Junior Suites, all have mini-bar, satellite TV, hairdryer, bathrobes, air-conditioning, safe and balcony or terrace. Rooms on the ground and first floor look across the pool towards the sea, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors there is a better seaview. Junior Suites are larger, with a sitting area and can easily accommodate families, some have two beds and others a king bed.

Gran Melia Salinas have now added 28 new one bedroom Master Suites with a separate bedroom which can accomodate up to 2 adults and 2 children with a dining area. These modern suites are a wonderful addition to the choice of accomodation and also include a CD player and a jacuzzi on the balcony. As expected, room service is 24 hours.

Tennis on site and special green fees at the nearby Costa Teguise Golf course

Leisure activities are numerous and include three tennis courts, a gym (both free), table tennis and pool and free Wi-fi. The 18-hole golf course is nearby and hotel guests are offered reduced green fees. After all this activity, the sauna or beauty centre with hairdresser will beckon.

Relaxing around the large heated pool, under the natural shade of palm trees, is a pleasure and the pool has a shallow area for children and a Jacuzzi. Parents are recommended to supervise the very young. Towels and sunbeds are free by the swimming pool.

Dining options…

Breakfast is buffet style, lunch is on the terrace of the Casa Canaria, whilst dinner is buffet with show cooking in the main restaurant. There are theme nights daily. Guests on half board can choose lunch or dinner. There would be a small credit in La Graciosa and La Casa Canaria à la carte restaurants including the Italian La Tarantella, a tapas restaurant and a seafood and rice restaurant, for half board guests. Smart dress code applies in the evening. Children are made welcome with entertainment laid on (subject to the number of children in the hotel), please check with us. Adult activities are organised and there is nightly entertainment in the main bar.

Gran Melia Salinas - The Garden Villas

There are also 10 very private individual Garden Villas, a superb addition to the Gran Melia Salinas. Each Villa is surrounded by its own high walled garden which has a small swimming pool, a shaded raised deck to relax on and a sunning area. An exclusive adult only area providing complete seclusion and privacy (no children or infants).

The accommodation is light and airy with natural wood much in evidence. The junior suite style sitting area and bedroom again offer every comfort. The bathrooms are super with a separate walk-in shower, a sunken tiled bath, a dressing area, naturally with kimonos, slippers and other “little extras”.

The whole Garden Villa area is attached to but separate from the main hotel with its own large swimming pool for Villa guest use only. A poolside drinks and snack service is available here, but meals are taken in the main hotel although breakfast can be brought to your villa.

This is a unique, tranquil concept, particularly for Lanzarote, and will appeal to the most discerning guest who wants to “get away from it all”.
