Five star Gran Luxe hotel in Costa Teguise

On a seafront location close to local amenities the well known Gran Melia Salinas hotel aims to provide high levels of comfort and service throughout. The ten luxury Villas with pools in a private area are gorgeous and the ultimate luxury. More recently the hotel have added contemporary one bedroom Master Suites.

ACCOMMODATION

The comfortable compact standard guest rooms and 18 Junior Suites, all have mini-bar, satellite TV, hairdryer, bathrobes, air-conditioning, safe and balcony or terrace.

Rooms on the ground and 1st floor look across the pool towards the sea, on higher floors there is a better seaview, available at a supplement. New this winter are the `Red Level’ rooms, a VIP service where guests benefit from a seaview room, access to the Red Level lounge, adults only pool and services in the Garden Villas area, a Nespresso machine and late check-out. Junior Suites are larger, with a sitting area and can easily accommodate families, some have two beds others a king bed.

The one bedroom Master Suites have a dining area and a separate bedroom. These modern suites are a wonderful addition and include a CD player, Jacuzzi on the balcony and use of the Garden Villa Pool. Both Junior Suites and Master Suites can accommodate up to two adults and two children. As expected, room service is 24 hours.

GARDEN VILLAS

There are also ten very private individual Garden Villas each surrounded by its own high walled garden which has a small pool and a shaded raised deck to relax on. The adults only accommodation is light and airy with super bathrooms, a walk-in shower, a sunken tiled bath, a dressing area and other “little extras” including late check-out (subject to availability), pillow and linen menu and daily newspaper.

The whole Garden Villa area is attached to but separate from the main hotel with its own large swimming pool for Red Level and Villa guests (adults only) with fresh fruit, canapés and non-alcoholic drinks service included.

Meals are taken in the main hotel although breakfast can be brought to your villa.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Leisure activities include three tennis courts, a gym (both free), table tennis and pool. The 18-hole golf course is nearby and hotel guests are offered reduced green fees. After all this activity, the sauna or beauty centre with hairdresser will beckon.

Relaxing around the large heatable pool, under the natural shade of palm trees, is a pleasure. The pool has a shallow area for children, parents are recommended to supervise the very young. Adult activities are organised and there is nightly entertainment in the main bar.

DINING

Breakfast is buffet style, lunch is on the terrace of the Casa Canaria, whilst dinner is buffet with show cooking in the main restaurant. There are theme nights daily. Guests on half board can choose lunch or dinner. There would be a small credit in La Graciosa and La Casa Canaria for half board guests (may close at quieter times). Smart dress code applies in the evening.
