Former manor house is now a rural hotel in Yaiza
Not to be confused with the larger Melia resort hotel of a similar name, the family-owned Finca de las Salinas has a great charm for those seeking a more relaxed rural hotel.
Situated in the whitewashed village of Yaiza the Finca is well located for exploring the island, nearby Puerto del Carmen and the best beaches at Papagayo. A group B hire car from the airport is included in our prices.
This 18th century former Manor House of a working Finca, has been tastefully and carefully refurbished to a lovely standard.
Pool side rooms in a quiet location
Offering just 19 rooms, including 2 suites and one junior suite this Finca has an air of calm and tranquillity. Each of the brightly painted rooms has a full modern bathroom with bathrobes, slippers and hairdryer, safe (small charge), TV, pool towels, air- conditioning/heating and coffee and tea making facilities.
All double rooms have a small terrace and most rooms have double beds. The junior suite near the pool is a larger room whilst the 2 suites in the main house have a separate sitting room and views across the front garden towards the countryside and share a pretty terrace. Most rooms are located around the pool area in the former stables.
A good choice of local restaurants
The Finca de las Salinas has a local classification of “Rural Hotel, 2 palms excellent” and in our opinion for a rural property it is, with its charmingly rustic feel. The Finca serves buffet breakfast on the covered patio. There is a good choice of restaurants in the local area. A Bodega/bar and a bottle of wine in your room add to guest enjoyment. The free gym, tennis court, games room, sauna and Jacuzzi will appeal to those seeking some exercise.
A quieter alternative side to Lanzarote is offered here and it has proved very successful with our more independent travellers.
Driving time from the airport – approx. 20 minutes.
