We are delighted to introduce our selection of hotels in Sardinia.
Largely undeveloped, this lovely island is still uncrowded for most of the summer. We have selected hotels with their own character, in beautiful and quiet locations, with good beaches, good dining and accommodation to suit every style.
In the north unspoilt Isola Rossa, home to the Marinedda Hotel and Spa, slopes down to the sea. The Valle dell‘Erica hotel is in a totally unspoilt spot some 12kms from Santa Teresa. Cala Capra near Palau is a narrow spit of land opposite the island of Caprera. Porto Cervo on the world famous Costa Smeralda, fabled playground of the rich and famous but still retains its forested hillsides and exquisite little bays. In the south of Sardinia we have selected Santa Margherita di Pula where you will find the renowned Forte Village.
Sardinia is too big to explore quickly, so why not consider the best of both worlds and have a 2 centre holiday with, perhaps, one week in the south and one week in the north?
Isola Rossa
On the north coast stands between Santa Teresa and Castelsardo. Both towns are well worth a visit for souvenir shopping. The coastline, known as the Costa Paradiso, is outstandingly beautiful and the surrounding countryside is undeveloped andscenically very attractive. A rental car would allow exploring of the nearby hills and forests.
Palau
The area near Palau is very restful with superb views out to the Archipelago of La Maddalena which is a national park. White sandy bays and tree covered hillsides make this a very attractive choice for real relaxation.
Porto Cervo
Known the world over as the playground of the rich and famous, in the heart of the Costa Smeralda. The marina with some truly enormous yachts to spot is, one assumes, the place to be seen, but be warned, shopping is very expensive!
There is a wide choice of restaurants but we found them to be very busy.
Forte Village
About 30 minutes from the large city of Cagliari. Visitors can enjoy great shopping, good eating and general wandering. There is a great deal to interest the culture vulture too - we will provide a guide book to help.
