An elegant and grand building 

This hotel, built in 1884, is in a wonderful location directly on the lake, ideal for those looking for tradition and old fashioned good service.

Rooms are either double rooms (photo) or larger junior suites, all with a bath, hairdryer, safe, airconditioning, mini-bar, satellite TV, balcony and a lake view. Junior suites have the added benefit of bathrobes and some have a separate shower in the bathroom.

The restaurant serves buffet breakfast and a daily 3 course table d’hote dinner menu, with a la carte available at a supplement.The restaurant has a beautiful terrace for alfresco dining with fabulous views of the lake, why not enjoy your breakfast here. The pool bar serves a la carte lunch in a glorious setting on a shaded tree covered terrace.

Within the hotel gardens you will find the heated outdoor pool, whirlpool and sunbathing terraces. Here you will also find direct access to the lake from the gardens for an alternative spot to swim.

Other facilities in the hotel include a sauna,Turkish bath and a treatment room offering a variety of massages. Winnies Bar is a perfect location for an after dinner drink with older style live music most nights.

We found this hotel quite delightful and in a convenient location close to Vittoriale Theatre and the Botanical Gardens. Lake Garda ferries call at the PiazzaWimmer next to the hotel, so convenient for enjoying the beauty of the area from the water.
