Some two miles from Hamilton on Bermuda’s beautiful South Shore this intimate luxury resort is under the expert management of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Set in 50 acres of lush landscaped gardens, the hotel overlooks a magnificent pink sand beach. Here guests can enjoy a cool towel service, loungers, umbrellas and a “flag” waiter service. A range of water sports and diving are available on the beach in season. Everything is here, even a beachfront bistro for lunch or dinner.

The large pool is ideal after a game of tennis on one of the five courts (three floodlit), or perhaps after a work out in the fitness room. A Children’s Programme is offered during the main summer season – please ask for the latest information on dates of operation.

ACCOMODATION

The newly refurbished resort offers 98 guest rooms and suites spread amongst cottages in the tropical gardens. The rooms and suites have been enhanced with the addition of in room entertainment systems, luxurious soft furnishings, iHome docking station and espresso machine.

Room choices include Premier garden or ocean view rooms, as well as Beachfront Lanais and Suites – these rooms have a sitting area or separate sitting room. All rooms have air-conditioning, a mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, high definition cable TV, 24hr room service, safe, hairdryer, bathrobes, iron and board. For families we can offer a second room at a discount for children 17 years and under, or Premier rooms can accommodate up to two adults and two children.

DINING

There are excellent choices for dining at the hotel, the innovative cuisine of the elegant Lido restaurant, with Mediterranean flavours and panoramic ocean views. Alternative options are the more casual Mickey’s, located on a deck among palm trees right on the beach (photo below). There is also a poolside restaurant serving lunch and the Sea Breeze Terrace is the spot in the evenings for cocktails, sushi and tapas, the perfect setting to enjoy the sunset. For more flexibility Elbow Beach now offer a Dinner Dine Around package, including the three resort restaurants and four award winning restaurants around the island; Fourways offer classic French cuisine, Blu is a premier bar and grill restaurant, Harbourfront specialises in seafood and sushi and Little Venice is Bermuda’s premier Italian restaurant.

The Concierge Desk is on hand for information on activities and the lobby shop and art gallery can be found behind the lobby area in the main building. The hair salon is located at the Club at Fritholme, near the main building.

SPA

Stunning ocean views are the perfect backdrop to the six Spa Suites with private balconies. The suites offer holistic treatments in a tranquil setting. You can now also enjoy a spa treatment ocean side, in the new Spa Beach Pavilion. Details of treatments are available, just ask.
