This family friendly hotel stands on a 300 metre sandy beach

Kalimera Kriti, officially classed as Deluxe category, stands on a super, 300 metre, sandy beach about 1 km from the small town of Sissi, which has a good range of shops and restaurants.

ACCOMMODATION

The beautiful main building includes the reception, bars, lounges, a bridge room and a TV lounge and some of the hotel rooms. Other rooms are with the bungalows and suites which are in three “village” areas. All are spacious and furnished Cretan style with air-conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar, a free safe, hairdryer and shower or bath in the small bathrooms. Twin rooms have garden, partial or full seaviews with balcony or terrace and all rooms can take an extra bed. Family suites can take two adults and up to three children and have a garden or seaview. Suites have either seaviews or are on the waterfront as are some Deluxe Bungalows. Do ask us for more detail.

DINING

Guests can enjoy an extensive buffet breakfast and buffet dinner (main course served) in the Artemis Restaurant, but a credit of €12 (per adult) is offered towards à la carte dinner in the Dionyssos Taverna, long trousers at dinner please gents! Alternatives include a pool restaurant for lunch, beach bar for snacks, cafeteria or in the evenings the Greek Kafenion. Themed dinners may incur an extra charge locally.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Sports enthusiasts can enjoy six hard tennis courts, two squash courts, table tennis, beach volleyball, mini-golf and a fully equipped fitness room. On the water the choice covers waterskiing, jet-ski hire, pedal boats, canoes and parasailing, all payable. Aerobics, gymnastics and jogging may also be enjoyed. There are five swimming pools, including one Olympic size, one indoors and one separate pool for children and a baby pool.

Entertainment for guests at Kalimera Kriti is offered by the hotel during the day and the evening - maybe with live music, disco and parties at the open air theatre or Greek folklore. Free Wi-fi is available in the reception area and there are four computers for free internet access.

The Crete Golf Club is only 25 minutes away, guests receive reduced green fees and preferred tee times.

FAMILIES

Children (and parents!) will love the supervised Kids Club open daily 10.00 - 18.00 and it is free. Age groups are four to eight years and nine to twelve years with different activities each day. A teens programme for 13 - 16 years is also available in high season. Under fours must be with a parent. Baby-sitting can be pre-booked at about €15 per hour.

With so much to do here it is ideal for the whole family, but the grounds are so spacious that there is usually a quiet spot to enjoy a drink with a good book or relax in the sun.
