A classic Parador that will charm

The Parador de la Gomera stands on a cliff top some 250 feet above the little town of San Sebastian, the island’s capital, with views over the sea to Tenerife and Mount Teide and is set in very pretty gardens.

This lovely air-conditioned four star property is for those who seek style and good service in a Parador of great character. Visually the hotel is quite lovely with a strongly traditional flavour.

Stunning views and no crowds

With just 52 twin rooms, 4 double bedded and 2 junior suites, guests here are treated as individuals, and because the gardens and the pool terraces are large, one never feels crowded.

The neat and elegant bedrooms all have private bathroom, satellite TV, free safe, hairdryer and mini bar. The Standard rooms have mostly garden views, some with terrace some without, 4 overlook a courtyard garden and have a balcony. We can request your preference in this category. The Superior rooms have a balcony and sea views. A bottle of wine will be in your room with our compliments.

La Gomera and the Parador are great to “get away from it all”

The restaurant is charming and also has tables in a conservatory style area. Breakfast is buffet with hot and cold dishes and dinner is waiter served from a menu that can include some local dishes. A Gala dinner is included in our prices for 24 Dec, and the two night festive package at New Year with Gala meals is also included in our prices.

There are delightful lounge areas with period furniture, a small library and space to relax with an after dinner drink. The bar also has a small courtyard perhaps for morning coffee or afternoon tea.

The swimming pool (not heated) overlooks the sea and is surrounded by sunbeds and umbrellas and at certain times there is a light lunch service here.
