Located on a hillside that leads down to the waters edge the property comprises a main building, The Citadel, which houses most of the guest rooms and suites, restaurants, bars and shops plus the “Villa” rooms and suites area which is located nearer the sea.

ACCOMMODATION

The Citadel has spacious standard double Deluxe rooms, all have lovely bathrooms with separate shower, bathrobes, slippers and hairdryer, flat screen satellite and cable TV, high speed internet access, air-conditioning, safe, mini-bar and balcony. Most rooms can accommodate two adults and one child. Junior Suites are larger and the Suites have one or two bedrooms and a separate sitting room. Views vary and can be of other parts of the Citadel, the golf course or gardens. Full seaviews are at a supplement.

The “Villa” rooms and suites offer a more intimate experience being away from the main building. These are not “villas” as we know them but are low rise buildings each adjacent to a shared swimming pool. Each “Villa” has eight to eleven rooms in either Double or Suite categories, the ground floor have direct access to the shared pool and most of the upper floors have cathedral ceilings, large terraces and partial or full seaviews. Room facilities are the same as the main building with a different style and decor. Villa Suite guests have complimentary use of a hotel buggy for transportation within the resort.

New are the adult only Tagor Villa Deluxe rooms and Suites, these exclusive rows of villas have a shared pool, buffet breakfast on the pool terrace at El Mirador, a pool bar with complimentary drinks and snacks, tea/coffee making facilities in rooms, butler service, complimentary golf buggy for duration of stay and access to the VIP room at Tenerife Airport, please ask for a quote.

DINING

Dining here offers plenty of choice with a total of up to ten restaurants ranging from Italian, Japanese, Gourmet, Seafood, Tapas and more. Buffet breakfast in the Citadel is served in La
Veranda with hot dishes cooked to order, half board dinner can also be enjoyed here, with a credit given in other restaurants. There are also four bars.

LEISURE FACILITIES

The seven swimming pools at ABAMA are freshwater and heated including an adults only pool. There are plenty of sunbathing and relaxation areas by the pools and the sea. The secluded golden sand beach is in a cove below the property and is accessed by funicular and
has a casual restaurant serving meals and drinks all day.

This is a self contained exclusive resort which is five minutes from the small town of Playa San Juan and 15 minutes by taxi from the busier area of Adeje, or you may wish to hire a car to explore the beautiful countryside nearby.

FAMILIES

Entertainment is varied with guest activities each day. There is a complimentary children’s club daily from 10am to midnight for four to twelve year olds and Baby Abami for younger children from six months to three years (including a crèche - only available until 3 Jan 2012), will keep the little ones happy. GOLF

The 18 hole par 72 ABAMA course was designed by Dave Thomas and offers golfers a real challenge. There are 22 water hazards, varied terrain and a stunning array of trees and subtropical vegetation. With a lovely Club House, Pro Shop, Golf Academy, driving range and putting green and priority for hotel guests, golfers will be very satisfied. We can pre-book your tee-off times for you and also have some special golf packages available.

TENNIS

For the enthusiast the ABAMA has seven plexiplave surface tennis courts and four paddle tennis courts as well as a Tennis Academy with Pro.

FITNESS CENTRE

Naturally the ABAMA has a complimentary well equipped gym with personal trainers to help with planning a work out. If sport is not for you, how about some personal pampering?

THE SPA at ABAMA uses natural body treatments and has a Thermal circuit with sauna, steam baths, a pool with various body jets, snow cabin, tepidarium and much more.
