ABAMA Golf & Spa Resort is a five star resort in a large private estate with its own golf course, spa, beach, hotel and “villa” rooms and suites.

Located on a hillside, near Guia de Isora, that leads down to the waters edge the property comprises a main building, The Citadel, which houses most of the guest rooms and suites, restaurants, bars and shops plus the “Villa” rooms and suites area which is located nearer the sea.

The Citadel has spacious standard double Deluxe rooms, all have lovely bathrooms with separate shower, bathrobes, slippers and hairdryer, flat screen satellite and cable TV, high speed internet access, air-conditioning, safe, mini-bar and balcony. Most rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child. Junior suites are larger and the Suites have 1 or 2 bedrooms and a separate sitting room. Views vary and can be of other parts of the Citadel, the golf course or gardens. Full seaviews are at a supplement.

All Prestige guests will have wine & water in the room

The “Villa” rooms and suites offer a more intimate experience being away from the main building. The "villa" rooms are not villas as we know them, but are low rise buildings each adjacent to a swimming pool. Each “villa” has 8-11 rooms in either double or suite categories, the ground floor have direct access to the shared pool and most of the upper floor have cathedral ceilings, large terraces and partial or full seaviews. Room facilities are the same as the main building with a different style and décor. Villa guests have complimentary use of a hotel buggy for transportation within the resort.

The 7 swimming pools at ABAMA are freshwater and heated including an adults only pool. There are plenty of sunbathing and relaxation areas by the pools and the sea. The secluded golden sand beach is in a cove below the property and is accessed by funicular and has a casual restaurant serving snacks and drinks all day.

Dining here offers plenty of choice with a total of 10 restaurants ranging from Italian, Japanese, Gourmet, Seafood, Tapas and more. Buffet breakfast in the Citadel is served in La Veranda with hot dishes cooked to order. Half board dinner can be enjoyed in La Pampa Verona, with a credit given in other restaurants. There are also four bars and the night club.

Child Programme - There is a children’s club daily from 10am to midnight for 3 - 12 year olds, Baby Abami for younger guests 6 months - 3 years(including creche), will keep the little ones happy. Baby-sitting can be arranged. Golf – The 18 hole par 72 ABAMA course was designed by Dave Thomas and offers golfers a real challenge. There are 22 water hazards, varied terrain and a stunning array of trees and subtropical vegetation. With a lovely Club House, Pro Shop, Golf Academy, driving range and putting green and priority to hotel guests, golfers will be very satisfied. We can pre book your tee off times for you and also have some Golf packages available

Tennis – for the enthusiast the ABAMA has 7 plexiplave surface tennis courts and 4 paddle tennis courts as well as a Tennis Academy with Pro.

Water Sports – A variety of watersports including sailing, snorkelling and deep sea fishing can all be arranged by the hotel.

Fitness Centre – naturally the ABAMA has a complimentary well equipped gym with personal trainers to help with planning a work out. If sport is not for you, how about some personal pampering?

The Spa at ABAMA uses natural body treatments and has a Thermal circuit with sauna, steam baths, a pool with various body jets, snow cabin, tepidarium and much more.
