Beautiful design and sophisticated charm

A strikingly different property, originally an 18th century ‘grand’ house, San Roque has been lovingly restored but with a combination of classical and artistic flair with stunning pieces of furniture creating a unique character.

ACCOMMODATION

With just 20 standard and duplex bedrooms, junior suites and one suite in the tower, the atmosphere is intimate and the standards are very high. A wide choice of CDs/DVDs are available free at reception – each room has a CD player, DVD and satellite TV. Air-conditioning, safe and mini-bar are standard and each has a Jacuzzi bath, bathrobes and a hairdryer. Duplex rooms are double bedded and have a small separate sitting room downstairs. Wi-fi is also available.

DINING

Start the day in lazy luxury and have breakfast brought to your room every morning or if you prefer it can be enjoyed by the heatable pool. In the central courtyard the San Roque also has an all day bar/snack service. The hotel serves a table d’hôte dinner.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Complimentary use of the sauna, mountain bikes and fishing rods are also available to guests at no cost. Tennis and an Olympic size swimming pool are free to guests nearby. Golfers can enjoy reduced green fees at the Buenavista Golf Course, designed by Severiano Ballesteros some 10kms away.

LOCAL AREA

Garachico is a well preserved village; it has a lovely church square, a fascinating history and a quiet quaint charm, but the much bigger resort of Puerto de la Cruz is 30 minutes by car. There is a choice of shops and restaurants in Garachico within five minutes’ walk and the surrounding countryside and coastline offer many opportunities for enjoyable days out, including walking.
