Located next to the Botanical Gardens in Puerto de la Cruz and a few minutes from the Lago Martianez Casino the Botanico is a 5 star Gran Luxe hotel. A complimentary shuttle bus takes guests down to the traditional town and the Martianez beach on weekdays and Saturday mornings.

" I loved this hotel as I felt it was a proper, traditional hotel and so different from the hotels in the south. The area of Puerto de la Cruz much greener, brighter and cleaner looking. The views from this hotel where spectacular towards Mount Teide. We had a four course lunch here, it was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel for couples and maybe older clients in the winter season and for those who are looking a for a spa hotel. I liked the fact that the spa has won awards. Botanico is good for families in the summer - the children get taken to Loro Parque. If I were a child I would love this!! Very good location and the hotel has lovely grounds you can walk around very tranquil and peaceful. I would request a Mountain View room as the views are spectacular and the Ambassador junior suites are an excellent size…as you can see I do highly recommend this hotel..."

Guests are able to choose from some 200 most attractive twin bedrooms, 40 very spacious Ambassador Junior Suites, Family rooms, Penthouse rooms with large terrace and 6 luxurious Penthouse suites on the top floor. Each room has air conditioning, a mini bar, hairdryer, bathrobes and a terrace or balcony. Satellite plasma TV, Wi-fi, free safe and 24 hour room service are also on offer.

Dinner is always a pleasure here

Each morning the breakfast buffet offers a wide choice of hot and cold dishes. Dinner is served in one of the 4 à la carte restaurants Oriental (smart casual), Italian, Spanish Canarian Cuisine each with three course menus for guests on half board or the new Al Fresco restaurant offering a healthy, nutritional menu. Snacks are served at the pool bar throughout the day. During the summer one restaurant may close. You do not have to book half board for the full duration of your stay. The hotel even provide child menus in all their restaurants. There is a Black Tie Gala dinner on 31 Dec and we include this in our prices.

The lush tropical gardens offer opportunities for privacy and calm. There is a heated freshwater pool here to enjoy and separate heated children's pool. Guests have free use of the two floodlit Astroturf tennis courts, table tennis, gymnasium, Jacuzzis in the spa and the 18 hole putting green. Golf packages can be arranged and babysitting on request.

Its Loro Parque connection makes this hotel very good for families

As a traditional hotel this may not be your first thought for a family holiday, but the whole atmosphere here seems to work for everyone. The particular reason we feel this hotel is good for families is the Botanico Adventure Academy, a fun educational programme for 4 – 12 year olds, held at Loro Parque for up to 7 days a week 1st July - 31 August. Loro Parque is an animal park with a very strong conservation theme. The children will have “lessons” with trainers and keeper and direct contact with animals such as dolphins and parrots. In addition to this there is a mini club 6 days a week at the hotel.

The fabulous “Oriental Spa Garden” offers a complimentary garden dedicated to health and beauty, adult guests can enjoy free use of a 2nd heated outdoor pool with jet streams, an indoor pool, fitness room, saunas, experience showers and ice igloo (minimum age in the spa 16 years). Other facilities including facial and body treatments ranging from chocolate wraps to wine baths as well as special weight-loss programmes and more traditional therapies including open air Oriental massage, a hairdresser and private spa.
