The Puente Romano is superbly located on the Golden Mile between the centre of Marbella and Puerto Banus. This Member of “Leading Hotels of the World” sits in some 11 acres of lush sub-tropical gardens which slope gently down to the sea and the beach.

Guest rooms are in a collection of 27 low rise small buildings throughout the grounds, (no lifts). The majority of the very spacious rooms have been refurbished to a very high standard; these are superior category which we particularly recommend. Large Classic rooms have not been renovated and smaller renovated classic rooms are also available.

All offer air-conditioning, mini-bar, safe, hairdryer, bathrobes and satellite TV with video channel. Suites are even more spacious, with a separate sitting room and are in classic and superior categories. 24 hour room service is naturally available.

Dining at Puente Romano is a real pleasure with the Café El Puente serving a goumet buffet breakfast, an all day coffee shop service and a table d’hôte menu for dinner. The Roberto restaurant (seasonal) is at the Beach Club and serves an Italian/Mediterranean menu for dinner, with gorgeous views down the coast, in season lunch is available here too. Guests on BB can also dine at the Marbella Club and sign to their Puente Romano account. Gala meals at Christmas and New Year payable locally

To keep fit or to relax?

Why not try both, starting with the three swimming pools – the Beach Club pool and main pool are heated. Sunbeds, parasols and towels are free here, a small charge applies on the beach. The hotel’s renowned 10 court tennis club and state of the art Fitness Centre with saunas and Turkish bath (free), a gym and other classes play their part. In summer there are excellent watersports and even children’s club.

The Golfer is spoilt for choice…

The golfer is spoilt for choice with almost 40 courses within easy reach – the Marbella Club Golf  Resort course is 20 minutes away in the hotel’s free shuttle (winter only) and the green fee is just 65 Euros (subject to change). Horse riding is here and there are great opportunities to ride in this lovely area. The golf desk at Puente Romano will book tee off times and offer reduced green fees at other courses too.

After such hectic activity, perhaps a leisurely stroll on the beach in front of the hotel or a visit to the superb Spa at the Marbella Club, 5 minutes away, will prove irresistible – reservations required. The Fitness Centre also has
