This stunning Riad within the Medina combines modern European style and the best of traditional Moroccan design.

Riad Farnatchi opened in 2004 after two years of extensive and careful renovations by its British owner, a former hotelier. Originally it was to be a holiday home for friends and family but he was advised that it would fill a gap in the choice of very high quality Riads within the Medina of Marrakech. 

Fortunately for us all it is now a highly individual boutique hotel with the feel of a private house run by a manager we know and respect.

It is designed around two beautiful courtyards with only 9 suites, all individually and exquisitely decorated with elegance and comfort in mind. Much of the furniture has been made specifically for the hotel and blends the exotic traditional Moroccan with the practicality and comfort of a modern European style.

All Suites include air-conditioning/heating, safe, satellite TV, Bose iPod docks, Wi-fi, CD/DVD player, bathrobes (djelaba) and slippers, hairdryer and most have a separate shower in the bathroom.

All the facilities you may need

Dining is a real pleasure here, breakfast can be taken in your room, in one of the dining rooms or even on the roof top terrace.  Here you will also find sunbeds for relaxing on warmer days.

Other facilities within the Riad include a DVD library, a traditional Hammam which is free to guests between 4- 7pm, massage and beauty treatments, and room service is available 24 hours a day and home made canapes are served before dinner.

There is a 7 metre outdoor, heated, swimming pool with an underwater jetstream and the Riad Farnatchi also has the use of a beautiful pool and garden outside the Medina where guests can go for a change.
