Hilltop fort becomes stunning, tranquil hotel
This gorgeous and unique hotel was, until a few years ago, a hilltop fort in beautiful countryside some 20 minutes drive from Marrakech. The setting is stunning with panoramic views over olive groves, desert hills and the Atlas Mountains, which are snow capped in winter.
After very considerable refurbishment it is now a delightful and very elegant refuge, tranquil and restful. The style throughout is tasteful and restrained, but distinctly Moroccan.
Moroccan rooms, romantic suites and excellent service
Within its massive ramparts there are 16 air-conditioned guest rooms and junior suites, each one individual in style with Moroccan artifacts and antiques, they have a fully equipped bathroom (bath or shower) but no TV or mini-bar. There is also a very spacious suite within the hotel with a sitting area and views over the olive groves to the Atlas Mountains.
The four Caïdal Suites bring an extra touch of glamour and romance! These are large tented suites in the grounds with a four poster bed, a sitting area, bathroom, air-conditioning and heating. The deluxe versions are quite a lot bigger.
