This is a quite exceptional hotel of great style. Located outside the 16th century walls of Taroudant and about an hour from Agadir city, accommodation is in stone cottages (all air-conditioned) set in enormous luxuriant gardens.

ACCOMMODATION

Each cottage is decorated differently and has a private bathroom, a fireplace and a private terrace with views of the Atlas Mountains in the distance, some also have a private enclosed patio with daybeds. All of the cottages have been refurbished to a very high standard of comfort and include safe, mini-bar and CD players. All accommodation are extremely comfortable and very stylish open plan Suites.

The “Maison” is extremely spacious and beautifully furnished. The accommodation includes a bedroom, a sitting room, a large bathroom, a dressing room area, a private enclosed patio and a large terrace with views over the grounds.

DINING

Breakfast is served on your terrace, lunch by the large pool (heated in winter) and dinner in the tented dining room in the hotel. A jacket or smart casual attire is preferred for dinner. Most of the ingredients come from the hotels organic farm. Also in the main house you will find lounges, the bar, a small shop and reception with Wi-fi in some public areas.

LEISURE FACILITIES

Guests may enjoy riding from the hotel’s own stables, the croquet lawn, two clay tennis courts, fitness centre, beauty salon, massage room and Hammam. The hotel organises excursions into the surrounding area, including the Atlas mountains.

La Gazelle d’Or is a discreet hotel providing peace, tranquillity and immunity to the stresses of our busy lives, so it is not really suitable for lively young children.

LOCAL AREA

Taroudant is surrounded by fertile countryside well watered by the melting snows of the High Atlas. The squares and souks provide good opportunities for buying carpets, leather goods and Berber jewellery.
